The Ondo state police command have arrested and paraded four serial
burglars that have terrorized the residents of the state for over a
year. The state commissioner of police, Hilda Ibifuro-Harrison, who
paraded the suspects before newsmen at the Command's headquarters in
Akure, the state capital yesterday April 12th, gave the names of the
suspected burglars as Segun Oluwasesan, Oyintola Amos, Kolawole Adebanjo
and Segun Oluwasesan.
The suspects are allegedly members of a burglary syndicate that break into peoples homes in the middle of the night to steal their properties. According to the commissioner, the suspects were arrested after one of them was apprehended at Ayedun Quarters in Akure robbing a store and carting away its goods.
When he was interrogated, he confessed to being a member of a gang and led the police to his other gang members. Items recovered from the suspects include mobile phones, video players, laptops, flat screen televisions, electric power generators, compact disc player.
They will soon be charged to court.
